How long can the dollar keep its current value?

The USA have accumulated immense debts. The debts of the U.S. government to the foreign countries amount 5'000 billion CHF approx. Will or can they ever pay back this huge debt?
Up till now this was not a topic. The USA till recently had the
reputation of the absolute master mind of making money. This reputation
has gone.
The current economy crisis has revealed the air bubble which was produced in America.
If
one looks at the thousand million losses, then one only can say the
master minds of making money produced nothing, but hot air.
The
indebtedness of the private households further increases. The USA
imports more goods in the value of 60 billion U.S. dollars than it
exports every month.
The mortgage crisis has not been due yet
for a long time. After, yesterday, the fed has not lowered the interest
rates, the mortgage rates remain high.
In the US approx. 6% of
the Mortgages are to failure. And the houses prices have not stabilized
themselves to the bottom yet. The spiral further turns.
It only needs another little spark now and the confidence of the investors in the U.S. dollar implodes.
